SEO Mistakes: Why 91% of Content Gets No Organic Traffic

SEO Mistakes: Why 91% of Content Gets No Organic Traffic

Many marketers and business owners fail to get results in their search engine optimization efforts. Often, it is because they are the victims of common SEO errors.

In this article, I will share seven of the most important SEO pitfalls you should avoid to get SEO results in 2021 and beyond.

Mistake 1: Lack of clear SEO goals

It should come as no surprise that you need clear goals to succeed in SEO.

But many business owners and advertisers run SEO campaigns without any intentions. They believe that doing SEO will increase their traffic, which will also increase their sales.

The problem is, things are not always so simple.

With your SEO paying efforts, you need to understand what you want to achieve. Is it a better quality volume, more live tracks, or more sales trying to get?

For example, suppose you find 10,000 monthly organic users on your website but only 1% of them end up buying from you. If so, there are two possible reasons: either a) you are driving the wrong kind of traffic to your website or b) your website is doing a poor job of converting visitors into customers.

Without clear intentions, you will end up with a lot of useless metrics and not much else.

Error 2: Ignore search term

The purpose of the search is a covert area that affects the SERP results. Google likes sites with content that satisfies the search objectives of a given query.

The purpose of the search means the last move after the user's search. You should find out what the user wants to find out when researching that question on Google. Does the searcher want to buy something? Or are they trying to learn something?

For example, if someone typed “digital marketing” in the Google search bar, that means the user wants to know what digital marketing is. The user therefore intends to be informed.

However, if a user searches for "digital marketing services", this may mean that the user wants to hire a consultant or a company that provides digital marketing services. This is a keyword to trade. To answer the search purpose of this question, you need to provide details about your marketing agent and the services you provide.

If you fail to meet the purpose of the detectives, you will not be able to rate for long.

Error 3: Checking mobile traffic

If your website is not for mobile or mobile use it is not part of your SEO strategy, you may be leaving money on the table.

Today, more than 50% of discounts across the road comes from mobile devices. And that's why Google often likes mobile websites.

To prepare your website live traffic from mobile devices, you'll want to make sure your website is responsive and that it downloads in less than 3 seconds. Mobile friendliness and page speed are important aspects of measurement.

Do not ignore the use of mobile phones if you actually want to increase traffic to your website.

Mistake 4: Sticking to old school SEO programs

Google is constantly updating its search algorithm. As a result, SEO is also changing.

Strategies that have worked well for the past 10 years are no longer effective. So if you want to stay on top of the Google SERP, you need to keep yourself updated and use modern SEO techniques.

These days, old-school SEO strategies like focused keywords and private blog networks (or PBNs) are greeted with fines rather than rankings.

That’s why you should keep yourself updated with the latest good SEO practices and pay attention to new updates, changes made by Google, and changes in the industry.

Mistake 5: Buying backlinks

Backlinks are among the most important aspects of ranking. But if you buy links to upgrade your website, you may receive a penalty from Google. This means that you are not only wasting your money but you are also likely to waste your website's ranking in search engines.

According to Google, many sites that sell links do not increase your rankings. That's because most bloggers and link marketers all have the same list of sites where they sell links. The good news is that Google also has the same list of sites, which means they are able to downgrade these sites.

If you are still unsure, let me know. Even if you haven't received a Google penalty for links or strategies that don't involve you yet, it doesn't mean you're safe. Your website can still be penalized today for links you have created over the years.

If you still want to pay a fee to get links, I recommend that you hire an SEO services company that can find high quality links in your niche without breaking any Google rules.

Error 6: Forgetting content formats without text

Doing SEO based on content can feel daunting because every site and blog does the same thing.

In 2021 and beyond, it is good to remember that content does not always match the written word. There are other content formats (think videos, infographics, podcasts, webinars, and photos) that you can use to rate Google and deliver live traffic to your website.

Most people prefer to watch videos rather than read. That's why you probably see more videos on social media and Google SERP. These days, videos are the most demanding content format, and I can only guess that the demand will only grow in the near future.

And if you still need to convince, consider this: based on my experience, video content takes less time to rate on Google and YouTube than text-based content.

Mistake 7: Ignoring SEO and branded EAT

SEO is not just a top-ranked list on Google. It is about building a trustworthy brand.

Today, Google loves real, reliable, and popular sites. This is the concept of Google E-A-T (technology, authority, and trust). Google determines the EAT of a website using a combination of various data points and algorithms.

Here are a few ideas on how to demonstrate your expertise, authority, and credibility:

• Make sure your SEO strategy also includes ways to increase product-related searches

• Try appearing in media publications

• Provide information about your company, such as location (address), author bios, approvals, and prizes won

Conclusions

To get results from your SEO efforts and rank high on Google, you will want to avoid the seven mistakes I described above.

Additionally, you may want to do SEO testing on your website once a year or once every six months to help you identify - and fix - any potential problems.
